Day 01 :
Duration :15 Days/ 14 Nights
Destination Covered: Delhi, Kullu Manali, Jispa,Sarchu, Rumptse, Leh, Delhi
Day 02 :
ARRIVE DELHI BY: INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT
- Meeting and assistance on arrival at the International airport and transfer to hotel.
- HOTEL check-in Time 12 Noon. Afternoon Combined sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi visiting the Raj Ghat – the memorial at the site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated; drive past Red Fort – once the most opulent fort and palace of the Moghul Empire; Jama Mosque – the largest mosque in India; Humayun’s Tomb, the Qutub Minar, drive along the ceremonial avenue – Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House and President’s Residence.
- Overnight in hotels.
Day 03 :
DELHI-KULLU-MANALI
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- In time Transfer from your hotel to the airport in time for flight: Departure: Delhi At: 1100 Hours
Arrival: Kulu At: 1220 Hours Meeting and assistance at Bhuntar airport upon arrival and drive (45 Kms / 1 Hour) to Manali. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Overnight in hotels.
Day 04 :
MANALI (2050 Mts.)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Full Day sightseeing in and around Kullu Valley. Visit the Manali bazaar, Hadimba Devi Temple, Vashist Hot Springs and Naggar Castle. Driving around the lush green and fertile valley is an experience in it self. Short walks are recommended, to help your body acclimatise to the altitude.
- Overnight in hotels.
Day 05 :
MANALI-JISPA (3300 Mts.)
- Start your overland journey and drive (145 Kms. 7-8 hrs) to Jispa. This high altitude road beyond the great Himalayan range, connects the densely fertile and green Kullu valley to the stark barren region of Ladakh.
- The drive starts at Manali slowly winding up mountain roads till Rohtang Pass at 3,950 Mts., which connects the Kullu to the Lahaul valley. On entering the Lahaul valley we see a distinct change with the Hindu influence being replaced with the Buddhist religion.
- We reach Jispa by late afternoon.overnight in tented accomodation.
Day 06 :
JISPA
- Relax and acclimatise at Jispa. Also drive back 18 Kms to Keylong and walk over to the Kardang Monastery, famous for its Thangka paintings. Return to Jispa for overnight.

Day 07 :
JISPA-SARCHU (4200 Mts.).
- (80 Kms. 4 hrs)
- Leisurely start to drive over the scenic Baralacha Pass (4880 Mts.).
- Plenty of stops to capture the scenic grandeur of this majestic landscape dotted with snow capped peaks and high altitude lakes. After crossing the pass drop down to the vast Sarchu plains at an altitude of 4200 Mts. overnight in tented accomodation.
Day 08 :
SARCHU-RUMTSE (3505 Mts.)
- (171 Kms. 7 hrs)
- Cross the Tsarap Chu River and climb steeply to cross the Lalung La pass (5065 Mts.). We then descend to the Pang plateau, which is the abode for the Kiang (Tibetan wild ass), perhaps the fastest animal at these altitudes.
- after the plateau we climb to the Tag Lang La pass (5292 Mts.). The second highest motorable road in the world this pass gives way to beautiful vies of the Karakoram Mountains and the Ladakh valley.
- A Descend till Rumtse and camp overnight.

Day 09 :
RUMTSE-LEH (3500 Mts.) (85 Kms. 4 hrs)
- Leisurely drive along the scenic Indus valley. Enroute stop over to visit the famous Hemis, Thiksey and Shey monasteries.
- HEMIS MONASTERY: Situated just off the Manali-Leh Highway, Ladakh’s biggest and wealthiest monastery is situated on the Leh – Manali road.
- It’s popularity stems from the annual festival held here in summer. The festival coincides with Guru Padmasambhava (Buddha) birthDay. It contains quite a few statues in gold and Stupas decorated with precious stones. It has a superb collection of Tanks, including one, which is supposed to be the largest in existence and is exhibited only once every 12 years.
- THIKSEY MONASTERY: 19 Kms from Leh, Thiksey is one of the largest and most impressive Gompas of Ladakh. The Thiksey monastery provides a panoramic view of the green Indus Valley from its vantagepoint atop a hill. It has chambers full of statues, Stupas and colourful Tank Has.
- SHEY PALACE AND MONASTERY: This summer palace of the erstwhile King of Leh is set upon a hill. The monastery itself has a 7.5-meter high, copper statue of a sitting Buddha, wrought in gold. This is the largest of its kind in the world.

Day 10 :
LEH
- Morning excursion to Stok Palace.
- It is a one-hour drive from Leh to Stok. Dominating Stok is the royal palace. The museum in Stok palace is a show piece for the royal thanks while the collection of turquoise head friezes worn only for royal wedding is the most impressive in Ladakh.
- Afternoon sightseeing tour of Leh town visiting Shankar Gompa – situated 3 kms from Leh. The monastery has innumerable small statues of pure gold and a number of interesting paintings. Proceed to the Leh monastery and Leh palace. Walk around the Leh bazaar.
- Overnight in hotels.
Day 11 :
LEH
- Day free for independent activities to explore in and around Leh on your own.
- Evening attend local Ladakhi cultural show.
- Overnight in hotels.
Day 12 :
LEH/ LIKIR / ALCHI / ULETOKPO:
- (03 hours) Drive to Uletokpo, Enroute visit Likir and Alchi monastery.
- LIKIR MONASTERY:
Founded at the same time as Spitok and Thiksey, Likir is recognised as the foremost Delgupta monastery in Ladakh region. It is found near Saspol on the Srinagar – Leh road. It houses a great deal of gigantic clay statues of the Buddha in various forms; the primary attraction of this monastery is its 1000-year-old wall paintings, which made a visit more than worth while. - ALCHI MONASTERY:
The monastic complex at Alchi was built in the 11th century. Its sheltered position in the Indus valley, off the main trails to Leh, is probably the major reason why it survived wars and abandonment to the elements. It is the best surviving example of the era and is notable because it was built down in a valley instead of on a hilltop or mountainside. - Overnight in deluxe tents at uletokpo..
Day 13 :
ULETOKPO / LAMAYURU / ULETOKPO (06 hours)
- Visit to the famous Lamayuru monastery and back to Uletokpo. Lamayuru is by far the oldest monastery in Ladakh.
- Initially a Bon monastery it is now the highest seat of Buddhism in Ladakh.
- Overnight in the uletokpo deluxe camp.
Day 14 :
ULETOKPO / LEH
After breakfast transfer to Leh .On arrival transfer to hotel for overnight.
Day 15 :
LEH-DELHI
- Transfer from hotel to airport in time for flight to Delhi.
- Meeting and assistance at the airport upon arrival and transfer to hotel.
- Remainder of the Day at leisure for independent activities.
Day 16 :
DEPARTURE: DELHI
- BY: INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT. Transfer from hotel to the airport in time to board flight for onward destination.
