Day 01: Jispa-Baralacha Pass(4800m)-Kilang Sarai-Lingti (4400m) 2 hours drive and 6 hours walk
Day 02: Lingti to Chumik Marpo( 4700m) 6 hours walk
Day 03: Chumik Marpo-Phirtse La(5450m)-Zingchen(4700m) 9 to 10 hours walk
Day 04: Zingchen-Tangze (4000 m) 4 hours walk
Day 05: Tangze-Testa-Yal-Purne-Khangsar(3800 m)
Day 06: Khangsar-Purne-Khangsar-Gelbo
Day 07: Trek Ends Gelbo-Tseten-Anmo-Padum

Day 01 :

Jispa - Baralacha Pass(4800m)-Kilang Sarai - Lingti (4400m) 2 hours drive and 6 hours walk

Leave after an early breakfast. Drive over Baralacha Pass to reach Kilang Sarai, the starting point of the trek. Trek Starts from Kilang Sarai. After crossing a small stream we walk along the Lingti Chu river and the terrain becomes more barren. Camp at Lingti for night stay.

Day 02 :

Lingti to Chumik Marpo( 4700m) 6 hours walk

Early start is important as we have to cross small streams on the way which usually get flooded during in the afternoon due to melting of snow on the higher reaches.

Day 03 :

Chumik Marpo - Phirtse La(5450m) - Zingchen(4700m) 9 to 10 hours walk

It is good to start early in order to reach the pass before the clouds come up in the afternoon. It is very steep ascent from Chumik Marpo to top of Phirtse La. After crossing the pass it is steep descent into Phirtise chu valley where we have to negotiate some patches of ice and snow to get down in the valley. We reach Zingchen camping site in the valley by later afternoon/early evening.

Day 04 :

Zingchen - Tangze (4000 m) 4 hours walk

It is downhill walk into Zankar valley. Today we see a sign of human habitation after four days of walking in the wilderness and high Himalayas. Tangze is the firest village in Zanskar valley that we come across. Camp by the side of the village.

Day 05 :

Tangze - Testa - Yal - Purne - Khangsar(3800 m)

Today we come across several small village of Zanskar to reach Khangsar village. Camp for overnight stay.

Day 06 :

Khangsar - Purne - Khangsar - Gelbo

Today we take you for a side excursion to visit Phugtal monastery, a beautiful hidden monastery on top of a hill. Spend some time at Phugtal monastery and walk back to Khangsar to continue your trek to the next village of Gelbo. Camp for night stay.

Day 07 :

Trek Ends Today Gelbo - Tseten - Anmo - Padum

Three hours walk and three hours drive.At Tseten village we cross over a hanging bridge to reach the nearest road-head at Anmo village. Drive to Padum and check in Hotel.
